What do you bring to the team?

I’d like to think I bring an understanding of the performer’s perspective. My drama school education gave me intensive actor training, but also opened my eyes to the love I have for production! My previous work was with underrepresented communities in Mumbai, working with performers to develop their writing and performance skills as well as assisting in the production of theatre and literary festivals. I think I bring a fresh perspective and a rabid love for theatre to the Fane team.

Your favourite book?

I find it impossible to choose just one! My top 5 (that are ever changing) are Winter by Ali Smith, The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, Postcolonial Banter by Suhaiymah Manzoor Khan and The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

The Tube can be a sweaty, grimy place, but every time I step foot there, I see something new and so ridiculous that I can’t help but think about it for the rest of my day. Airports are also a similar point of inspiration for me! Everyone there has their own journeys and tangle of thoughts, but for that moment you’re all sharing the same space.
