What do you bring to the team?

Since moving to London in 2022, I worked at The Really Useful Group, helping to market the musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Before that, I was a technical writer, ran the social media for an art gallery and studied art history and English literature. I hope that I bring passion, creativity, and a strong work ethic to the team.

Your favourite books?

The first book that gave me that overwhelming and all-consuming reading experience was North Child by Edith Pattou. I read it as a child and have been reluctant to read it for a second time in case it doesn’t live up to the first! Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan series helped me to remember as an adult what it feels like to be fully immersed in a fictional world. Reunion by Fred Uhlman and Foster by Claire Keegan are two heartbreaking short stories that I’ve returned to and been heartbroken by all over again. Since moving to the UK, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation of Irish literature. Most recently, Sunburn by Chloe Michelle Howarth blew me away. It’s the first book I’ve read that depicts the Irish queer experience from a female perspective.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

Reading or writing in a cafe or under the sun, walking around a new city and seeing all of its potential, being in nature, seeing the sea, talking to open-minded, self-assured and kind people, learning something new.
